TONIGHT – Important Lecture on Pediatric Asthma and Allergies

The Bikur Cholim of Passaic-Clifton and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center invite you to attend the following presentation: *Monday, July 14th at 8 PM “Children, Asthma and Allergies” * The presenter will be S. Mark Kosinski, M.D., PhD. Chief of Allergy and Immunology, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital The lecture will be held in Dr. Elliot Samet’s new office at 145 Main Ave. (corner of Howard) According to a recent Pediatrics report, six million children under age 18 suffer from one or more food allergies and nearly two out of five affected children have a severe food allergy. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, asthma affects nearly 9 million school children, while allergies affect 50 million. Dr. Kosinski will describe the common allergies in children, discuss the range of tests used to diagnose allergies, outline the signs of an allergic reaction ad offer strategies and precautions for parents to follow to help keep their children safe and healthy. Dr. Samet will introduce the speaker and will be available for the question and answer session following the talk. RSVP is not required, but appreciated.
