JFS-Somaich Achim Chanukah Campaign & Rabbi Rietti Speaking in Passaic

Dear Friends: The Magen Avraham states that it is a minhag to collect Tzedaka on Chanukah. It is with this thought in mind that we hope that you will be mochel us for again asking for your support on behalf ofSomaich Achim. We know that you may wonder why we keep asking for your tzedaka help, but the unfortunate reality is that as the secular year comes to a close, Somaich Achim is facing a major deficit. We have nowhere else to turn, but to our friends and neighbors to support that which is our collective achrayus. Hopefully, we all agree that every community is responsible to ensure that families who are in crisis (emotional, financial, etc.) are supported by and cared for by their community. In Passaic, Baruch HaShem we have an organization that ensures that this assistance is provided in a professional and effective manner. The Somaich Achim program of JFS coordinates the myriad of resources both from within our community as well as from outside sources. Please include Somaich Achim as part of your Chanukah tzedakas.
