Shul Announcements: Dr. Avrumi Blaivas will be giving his Chumash Shiur tonight. Cholent will be served. Kiddush following davening this Shabbos is sponsored by Chaim and Chanie Feder in honor of the recent birth of their daughter, Pessie. May the Feder’s have much nachas from all of their children. This Sunday morning, February 10, the Shul will have Shovavim Shiurim for women from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Rebbitzen Spira and Mrs. Debbie Selengut will speak. Breakfast will be served. Purim Announcements: (1) Rabbi and Rebbitzen Spira will once again be hosting a Purim Seuda. (2) Please go to www.ourshul.net http://www.ourshul.net/ to sign up to participate in the Shul’s Shaloch Manos program. A Shaloch Manos package will be sent to every member of the Shul in the name of all participating families. (3) The Rav will be giving 3 shiurim on Megillas Esther utilizing the perush of the Malbim. The first shiur will be this Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. at the shul. The second shiur will be the following Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. The final shiur will be on Parshas Zachor one hour before mincha. NEW SHIUR: The Rav, Shlita, has agreed to give a Mishna Berurah Yomi shiur each night after Maariv for 15 minutes (maximum). The shiur will begin toward the beginning of Chelek Gimmel (Hilchos Shabbos) and follow the schedule created by the Chicago Center for Torah Chesed (see here http://www.mishnaberurayomi.org/index.php ). This new shiur will give participants the opportunity to: (1) have a short seder limud after maariv; and (2) be introduced to concepts in Hilchos Shabbos.
