Internet Protection
May 15
Hello,
As we discussed on Shabbos, I am sending you information about potential protection from the internet. YishmorEini is one of many option.. If you are interested, please be in touch with Chaim Dovid Meghnagi at cd@themegs.com
With YishmorEini, each member is assigned a unique number. Only the Rav is aware of the identity of the person to which the number corresponds to. Every member installs software onto their computer which sends biweekly reports to the YishmorEini monitoring team for review. The monitoring team does not know whose reports they are reviewing, since the reports are labeled by number only (no names). If, and only if, there is a report that is problematic, will the report be forwarded to the Rav assigned to that specific number. This way one is assured that when using the internet responsibly, his activity remains completely private. He is also aware, that should he c”v use the internet inappropriately, his Rav will receive his report.
Protect Yourself!
You have taken a huge step towards leading a purer life. To be effectively protected make sure to install the program on every computer you have access to. Leaving one computer without the program is like locking all your doors at night but leaving your front door unlocked…
Privacy
YishmorEini does not know who its members are. Each member that signs up is given a user number by his Rav and only the Rav has the master list revealing which person is assigned what number.
What will the Rav see?
YishmorEini will receive a monthly report of all sites visited by each member. YishmorEini employees will review each report and only the reports found to contain pornographic sites will be delivered to the accountability Rav under whom this member signed up. If there are no pornographic sites on the report the report will not be seen by the Rav.
Is this Free?
Yes. YishmorEini is a non-profit organization and all member accounts are sponsored by a group of generous individuals in our community. To sponsor a person, community, etc.. or to get involved, please email info@yishmoreini.com.
To see YishmorEini’s brochure, please click here http://ourshul.net/files/yishmireini.pdf .
