Baby Girl to Dunoff Family

Mazel Tov to the Dunoff Family on the birth of a girl.

A message from Hatzolah about Purim: We don’t want your business!

Purim is upon us and in past years, Hatzolah hasunfortunately been quite busy answering calls for help when men and boys get drunkand fall unconscious.  Last year, after bringing two heavily intoxicatedpatients to the Emergency Room within 10 minutes of each other, an ER nurseasked a Hatzolah member, “When are they closing the bar at thisparty?”

The “bar” should close before it opens formany!  There are boys who drink on Purim strictly because of theobligation to drink “ad d’lo yoda,” until one cannotdistinguish between cursing Haman and blessing Mordechai.  Unfortunately, many of these boys go way beyond and don’t understand how even a littlebit of alcohol can affect their minds and motor skills.

And if you really want to see the very dangerousconsequences of allowing young adults to partake even of small amounts ofalcohol and of the catastrophic effect that could ensue, watch the video at http://yehudamondfoundation.org/lechaim.asp The consequences?  Yehuda Aryeh Mond died at 19  ½ yearsof age!  His parents started the Yehuda Mond Foundation to educate us onthe dangers of even a little bit of alcohol.

So, please help us help you.  Help us devote our timeto where it’s needed – helping the sick, not cleaning up afterdrunks!

May we share nothing but simchas.
